Preparing Students for Post-AI Job Markets
As computer-based artificial intelligence and automation continue to change the activities people do for work, students need to be trained and prepared for the future job markets they will encounter. While much of the specialized training occurs in post-secondary education, the tools students learn in Bellevue Schools will be essential for their future success. Fundamentally, students need to be taught to think.
Search engines and online tools have already replaced many of the fact-based learning models that existed when many parents were in school. However, the ability to critically evaluate information, make pursuasive arguments and the ability to connect ideas from different disciplines are critical elements of thinking that Bellevue School District must continue to embrace to develop the next generation of leaders in commercial, public and non-profit sectors.
